From 24. to 30. of April 2017. Youth club Under the same sun organized Learning indeed – A step beyond! training for 20 participants from Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Turkey, Egypt and Hungary. Training was held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Young people had an opportunity to learn about intercultural dialogue, human rights, peace, stereotypes, prejudices, discrimination and xenophobia. They also learned new skills for combating negative trends in the region, and organizing local actions in their communities.
Participants were address by the national coordinator of Anna Lindh Network in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and they had an opportunity to participate in a panel discussion „Personal stories“ about peace actions with Goran Bubalo from Network for Building Peace, Čedomir Glavaš from youth organization Odisej Bratunac and Zek Dundar from Youth Peace Ambassadors.
They were also addressed by Agata Stajer, a Youth Peace Ambassador and human rights and peace activist from Poland, who talked about current and previous actions for peace in Europe, as well as the organizations and networks active in this field.
Training is part of one year program implemented by Youth club Under the same sun from Jablanica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with Dynamic Development Association from Istanbul, Turkey. Program is supported by Anna Lindh Foundation.
Follow up activities in next several months include virtual travels, online learning and cultural guide development, as well as the participants' actions in local communities in 10 Euro-Med countries.
